Sultry with an edge-  Cal Johnson is a multi instrumentalist & singer-songwriter immersed in the styles of jazz, folk-pop and blues while staying true to his song writing roots and creating a fusion.

No stranger to the scene, Johnson is a Nova Scotia Music award nominee for Indigenous Artist of the Year (2018), has been featured in the CBC "Searchlight Competition" (2018), and also has performed with “The Blue Lane” at Halifax's TD Jazz Festival (2016), Bell FibeOP's "Club One New Releases"  and CTV’s Breakfast Television (2016).

Along with these experiences, Johnson has also obtained a diploma in music arts and has been privileged to attend private songwriting workshops under the instruction of artists such as Matt Anderson, Thom Swift, and Christine Campbell.
